The project of “kiss & hug” is started to realize by the ideas of Elif Kork in 2008. First of all, she is a hat-lover and she decided to mirror her creativity to her hats that's why.
In her hat-designs, she prefers to use traditional textures that belong to her culture and recycled materials such as old jackets, skirts, jeans, t-shirts, buttons, beads, etc. Using recycled materials for new products means to respect to the nature and has many economical and environmental benefits. She thinks that her hats symbolize a kind of reincarnation for recycled materials that she uses.
She declares freedom of ideas with her hats. According to her, every person hides his personality in shape of his hat.
Hats are not an accessory of our clothes; hats are a piece of our life-style.
Therefore, all painters, every musical note, the books that she has read until now, her dreams, and memories in her mind are the unique source of inspiration.
Recently, she continues to design particular hats for people. She listens ideas of people and creates personal hats for them. Reuse and reassessment of memories with her hat-designs inspire of her next creation.
